Cozy Crime Corner Book Blog

A corner of the internet for lovers of cosy crime

I'm so glad you've stumbled across the Cosy Crime Corner, where we delve into the world  of charming murder mysteries filled with cats, vicars and cosy tea rooms and sometimes the odd spy and glass of champagne too.

Here you are in good company. Whether you are looking for a seasonal read, a comforting read, a touch of old school glamour, a locked room mystery or a classic. I share my recommendations, new authors I've found and now and then discuss stories that are great to listen to as audiobooks. Whether you've a whole day or 10 minutes on a train, there's something here for you.

 Evelyn's Cosy Blog

Hi, I'm Evelyn and I love a murder mystery, I always have ever since I was a little girl reading Agatha Christie books. Although I'm not really fond of the Scandi-noir type stories where a chisel-jawed detective moodily drives his Volvo around under a slate-grey sky. No, I'm am more your tea-shop, vicars, villages and vendetta type of gal.

My favourite stories are where a murder takes place at a cricket match over a long running feud about who won a best vegetable competition, with retired Colonels, inquisitive old ladies and clues everywhere that somehow the local police seem to miss. Books that whisk you into another world, and despite the ever increasing body count that in real life would be declared a major-crime scene, you feel strangely comforted.

You can read my weekly blog, latest reviews and top recommendations for seasonal reads, relaxing reads and also stay up to date with Cosy Crime news.

I love reading with the seasons, and as we head into late summer and early autumn here are your perfect reads.
